Botany is a suburb in the City of Botany Bay in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. It is located next to Mascot, Sydney Airport, and is adjacent to Botany Bay. It is also the site of Sydney's major port, Sydney Ports, and as such, is a suburb with extensive commercial development centered on shipping and freight. Botany also has a large chemical production facility owned by Orica (previously ICI).
